Nairobi Community anti-drug Coalition (NCADC) is a result of joined efforts of originally five civil society organizations namely: Action Network for the Disabled, Kenya Network of women with AIDS (KENWA), Movement Against Substance abuse in Africa (MASAA), Men for Gender Equality Now (MEGEN) and Maranatha International Counseling Foundation (MICF) through the coordination of Kenya 's anti-drug agency, NACADA with technical support from Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) to form a larger Coalition aimed at promoting the creation of healthy and productive Drug-Free Societies by addressing issues within the communities that increase the risk and the likelihood of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse. Registered in Kenya as a Society, NCADC has exponentially grown over the last 2 years to include members drawn from civil society, government, education, religious sector, transport industry, treatment & rehabilitation, law enforcement etc. who include but not limited to: Empower Africa , NACADA, Kenyatta University, SAPTA, Slum Child Foundation, Ministry of Education, County Government of Nairobi, Pangani Girls High School, St. Johns Community Centre, KEYNET, SCAD, Kenya Catholic Secretariat, Ministry of Health, Amani Training and Counselling Centre, UNODC, Matatu Welfare Association, Aden House, NOPE, CARITAS, KAPA, Urban Hope Project, Anti-Narcotics Police Unit among others.
