Farida Rashid


Ms. Farida Hussein is a board member of CADCKE where she sits in all board meetings. She is a Founder and chairperson of the Kenya Muslim women Alliance(KEMWA) and chairs all KEMWA meetings. Ms. Farida prides herself in Empowering women so as to participate in decision making, fighting gender abuse & violence, realizing their social, economic and political rights. she also participates in advocating for the rights of the girl-child through education and seeking justice for the sexually abused women and young girls. Ms. Farida has offered scholarships to needy children through primary, secondary and university education. She has worked hand in hand with the Kenyan Government, NACADA and CADCA to reduce the prevalence of drug abuse in Mombasa County. Besides, she has worked with organizations that deal with rehabilitation of drugs addicts and effectively lobbied for the establishment of a government rehab in Mombasa to benefit the less privileged in society. Farida has served as a board member of Utalii College, Mtongwe primary school and the Novel Youth Group. She is a mentor to various youth and women groups in the community. She is a renown women leader in Mombasa County and the country at large. Farida is the president of the community anti-drug coalitions of Kenya: CADCKE - Mombasa Chapter, where she is actively involved in the campaign against misuse of drugs in the region. Farida was recently appointed a board member of NACADA.
